       I am thrilled to share my journey with you. My name is Dr. Carlos Whitfield, and I hold a Doctorate in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity. I am a United States Army and Air Force Veteran with over two decades of experience in the tech industry. I have been fortunate to witness the incredible evolution of technology and the digital landscape.

      My passion for Information Technology started early in my career when I realized the potential of technology to transform businesses and lives positively. Cybersecurity interest would follow years later. I have been captivated by the ever-changing nature of the field, its challenges, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on implementing and securing digital assets and empowering individuals and organizations to navigate the digital world safely.

      Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse teams, collaborating on cutting-edge projects, and solving complex technological challenges. I have held various roles, from a hands-on technical expert to leadership and project management positions, which provided me with a holistic understanding of the industry and its nuances.

      The pursuit of knowledge has always been a cornerstone of my journey. Completing my Doctorate was not just an academic milestone but a labor of love, a test of grit and dedication to the field that has given me so much. Through research and continuous learning, I have gained a deep understanding of Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, and I believe that knowledge should be shared and nurtured within the community. One of my greatest joys is encouraging others to pursue greatness in IT and Cybersecurity. As a mentor, educator, and practitioner,  I find immense satisfaction in guiding aspiring professionals and helping them unlock their potential. The tech industry is brimming with opportunities, and a person with passion and dedication can thrive in this exciting domain.
